Restaurants That Prepare And Serve Great Chicken

It is always great to find a restaurant that serves great chicken dishes. Chicken can be prepared many ways but the common denominator that qualifies chicken as great is that it must be juicy and flavorful. Careful preparation is the way to create flavorful chicken and careful cooking is the way to keep it juicy. If you are looking for a restaurant that serves great chicken, look for a restaurant that prepares and serves chicken in one of the following ways:  

  • Rotisserie Roasted Chicken - Chicken cooked on a rotisserie can have great flavor. The rotating rotisserie alternates between cooking the chicken with a super hot flame and then allowing the chicken to rest. The rotisserie spit makes a complete rotation about twice each minute. This alternating cooking and resting method helps to preserve a chicken's natural juices. Restaurant chefs baste the chicken as it rotates on the rotisserie spit to coat the chicken with more liquid. Rotisserie chicken can be served with a side of dipping sauce to add even more flavor to the meat. 
  • Jerk Chicken - Chicken cooked with jerk seasonings originated in Jamaica. Jerk chicken is marinated overnight in a combination of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, nutmeg, whole allspice berries, ginger, thyme, and Scotch bonnet chili peppers. To cook the chicken, fresh green pimento wood branches are set on fire until they become charcoal. More green pimento wood branches are then laid on top of the charcoal until they are flaming hot. The marinated chicken is then set directly on the flaming pimento wood branches, and large sheets of metal are placed on top of the branches and chicken to concentrate the heat on the cooking chicken. As the chicken cooks, it absorbs oils from the pimento wood branches and is steeped in the steam and smoke produced when burning green wood. When cooked, the chicken is cut from the bones and served with a peppery-hot Scotch bonnet chili sauce.
  • Triple-Fried Chicken With Waffles - This chicken is fried three times to make it extra crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This is accomplished by frying the chicken in super hot oil to seal in the juices and then allowing the chicken to rest before frying it again. When cooked, the chicken is served on top of crispy Belgian waffles with a sweet honey and maple sauce. 

Great chicken restaurants take special care to prepare and serve their chicken dishes. The above chicken preparation and cooking methods are only a few of the ways that chicken can become a great entree. Many chicken restaurants serve delicious chicken dishes but keep their cooking methods and recipes secret.
